The search engine optimization ( SEO ) is an area not many people. It is rare that a day passes without someone has made inquiries about the subject. So I decided to post this FAQ article that hopefully will help people understand the basics, and make them a bit more comfortable with the concepts.
Q: Why search engines are important to me?
R: 85% of all web traffic is driven by search engines. The only online activity more popular than search is email. 79.2% of U.S. users go to page 2 of search results. 42% of users click on the result of # 1. For those under 40 years of the group, the Internet will become the most widely used media in the next 5 years.
Q: How do search engines decide on their position in them?
A: IMPORTANT: You can not pay Google or Bing (MSN) or Yahoo in exchange for a high ranking in natural results. You can only get a high ranking if your content is deemed relevant by the search engines. Search engines use "spiders" or "robots" to index (record) and identify the contents of your search results. Complex algorithms are used to determine if your site is useful and should be included in the results of search engines.
Q: I can not simply buy a high position natural?
A: No. The biggest concern for search engine companies like Google and Yahoo is finding content that will bring them more traffic (and therefore more advertising revenue). In other words, their results should be relevant results. These results make it relevant and pertinent in a good search engine, makes it irrelevant results in a search engine of short duration.
Most of these engines deliver two types of results each time you click Search:
Natural / Organic - The result "real" search. These results are occupying most of the people who occupy most of the window. For most searches, the search engine displays a long list of links to sites with content that is related to the word you searched for. These results are ranked according to relevance and importance.
Payment - pure advertising. This is how search engines make their money. Advertisers pay search engines to show your ad whenever someone searches for a word that is related to your product or service. These ads are similar to natural search results, but normally labeled "Sponsored Links", and usually occupy a smaller portion of the window.
Q: How I can get a high ranking?
A: There are four main steps:
Step 1 - Use the right words on your website
Step 2 - Get lots of relevant sites to link to yours
Step 3 - Use the right words in the links
Step 4 - Have lots of content on your site and add more regularly
Q: What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
A: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the art of creating a website that is "easy" for search engines. This means:
Using the right words in your site
Using HTML and CSS code without errors (a few are allowed)
structuring your site properly
designing your site properly
Many people use SEO also describe the other component of positioning high unn, "The popularity of blogs."
Q: What is link popularity Q:
A: Think of the search engines as a great choice. All websites in the world are candidates. Links to your website are votes. The more votes (links) a candidate (website) has, the more important it is and the higher its ranking. Link popularity is all the links on the way he has, and how you can get more.
Links to your site to search engines the importance of your site is. They assume that if significant enough for many other sites to link is important enough to appear on the top of the standings. Links are the most important factor in qualifying. In general, it has more links to your site from other sites, the better your ranking.
Q: How many links to my site there?

from important sites (have a high ranking and traffic);
include the keyword as part of the visible link text;
include various text links (not the same link text each time), and
come from a page that links to some other sites.
When a search engine sees a link which satisfies most or all of these conditions, he says, "Hey, this site must be credible and important, because others in the same sector are pointing to it."
Q: How I can get lots of links to my site?
A: There are many possible ways to generate links. Some are dubious (like auto-generation software and sites created by webmasters simply to host links to other sites) and I will not be discussed here. Others, such as those mentioned below, are legitimate.
Add your site to DMOZ and Yahoo Directories (and other free directories)
Verify that your competitors links are from
Articles - Write and submit articles for publication on the Internet
Link Exchange

Paying for links

Q: What do you think is the best way to get a lot of blogs?
A: Articles published on relevant sites. Writing articles useful and leave other webmasters to proceed to their publication for free in exchange for a link on the bottom line. In the article, you do not have to pay for the link, to determine the content of the page containing the link, to determine the link text and the link is more or less permanent. A single article can be reproduced hundreds of times, and each time is another link to your site!
Q: How long does it take to get a high search ranking?

This is to discourage the creation of SPAM websites (sites which serve no useful purpose other than to increase the ranking of some other site).
There are a lot of anecdotal evidence supporting the theory, but there is much to deduct. Nobody categorically proved its existence.
Q: What is the filter links on Google, and it is real?
A: The filter blogs Google's theory suggests that if Google detects a sudden increase (ie, hundreds or thousands) in the number of links to your site, you may be in the Sandbox site (Sandbox) at a time determined or the blacklisting of sites.
As in the previous answer. Nobody categorically proved its existence.
Q: What SEO companies should I be careful not to hire?
A: Be wary of SEO companies that promise or guarantee results within a specified period, especially if not expand on their methods for generating links to your site.

Q: Do I have to submit my site to search engines?
A: In theory, no. But I would not run the risk of not doing so - especially since it's free. As soon as you register your domain name, send it to Google! Even if they have not built your site, or thinking about your content, submit your domain name to Google. In fact, even if they are not fully articulated your business plan and marketing plan, enter your domain name to Google.
Q: Should I submit my site to search engines more than once?
A: Not necessary. Although some search engines let you do this, there's really no need.
Q: What are directories and should I submit my site for them?
R: Directories are websites (or web pages) which simply list a lot of website and give a quick overview of the website. Some are free and some require you to pay for an ad. Free directories are useful because they have a free link. However, the links are not worth much. Payment directories can be good if they are relevant, but can be costly in the long run, so choose wisely.
